Josi Chave

osias Matsebatlela aka DJ JOSI CHAVE started dj-ing at the age of 14. After matric, he entered the world of broadcasting by completing a Broadcasting Diploma in Radio.

Influenced by the rapid growth of djs and music producers, he formed his record label in 2006 with the aim of assisting upcoming artists to release and popularize their music.

He released his first compilation in 2008 and again in 2009. His music production talents feature on various other compilations such as, House of Flava, Kasi Jams, Mixwell Fistaz and DJ Zinhle's Feminine Touch.

In 2010 he became an intern at YFM and worked in Y Mag Publishing, later that year. Over the years, he has shared the decks with prominent local and international djs and artists such as Black Coffee, Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Fresh, Euphonik, Roland Clark, Pastaboys and Die Antwoord.

With over 11 years in the music industry Josi Chave has achieved a lot in his music career.

Catch him every Saturday between 3pm-6pm on The Warehouse and between 6-7pm on Wednesday, on YTKO on Yfm.
